Learn the essentials to starting Jiu-Jitsu. In this program we give you tools and techniques to get started in Jiu-Jitsu by teaching the fundamental positions and techniques to not only defend but advance to different positions.
Fundamentals BJJ is designed for people with little or no experience in mind. We will be covering the basic principles and concepts of Jiu Jitsu and focusing on self defense. The class is strongly encouraged for new students. This class will help you to learn step by step techniques that are essential to build a solid game in Jiu Jitsu. We believe that this class is very important and we encourage even our advanced students to review and drill these moves as often as they can. This is a traditional Gi class and is an hour long.
The Gravity BJJ Kids program provides kids age 4-12 years old a safe environment that allows them to experience and understand core values of respect, discipline, perseverance by growing as a team and as individuals through positive encouragement.
The kids program is split into two age categories, 4yr-7yr and 8yr-12yr. This allows a more focused approach to teach certain basic drills and techniques to more advanced positions. The advanced kids BJJ on Saturday is for experienced students and permission to attend is required.
This "No-Gi" class is designed for beginners and advanced students and consists of basic traditional Jiu Jitsu techniques adapted to make up for the lack of a uniform to grab. Students will learn how to take down, hold positions and apply joint locks to submit opponents who are not wearing a Gi.
Class consists of warm-ups, technics, drilling and rolling (live training). This class is an excellent way to transition your Jiu Jitsu techniques into self-defense. Students must wear shorts and a rash guard (or a t-shirt) to attend this class.
We not only focus on techniques in the advanced classes, but once you have learned the key components in the fundamentals classes, we dive into a deeper understanding of key concepts and transitional ideas as we are ever evolving in the art.
This class will help you improve your competition game with advanced techniques. The use of a Gi is mandatory in this class.
