Our program structure allows anyone to learn the gentle art of Jiu-Jitsu so if you are looking to learn self-defense, would like to compete, or even need another source of fitness and personal development, you will accomplish your goals at Gravity BJJ. We strive to provide a safe and fun atmosphere for students of all ages.
Gravity is located in Surrey, BC, Canada, and is affiliated under the Caio Terra Brazlian Jiu Jitsu Association.
Learn the essentials to starting Jiu-Jitsu. In this program we give you tools and techniques to get started in Jiu-Jitsu by teaching the fundamental positions and techniques to not only defend but advance to different positions.
Fundamentals BJJ is designed for people with little or no experience in mind. We will be covering the basic principles and concepts of Jiu Jitsu and focusing on self defense. The class is strongly encouraged for new students. This class will help you to learn step by step techniques that are essential to build a solid game in Jiu Jitsu. We believe that this class is very important and we encourage even our advanced students to review and drill these moves as often as they can. This is a traditional Gi class and is an hour long.
The Gravity BJJ Kids program provides kids age 4-12 years old a safe environment that allows them to experience and understand core values of respect, discipline, perseverance by growing as a team and as individuals through positive encouragement.
The kids program is split into two age categories, 4yr-7yr and 8yr-12yr. This allows a more focused approach to teach certain basic drills and techniques to more advanced positions. The advanced kids BJJ on Saturday is for experienced students and permission to attend is required.
This “No-Gi” class is designed for beginners and advanced students and consists of basic traditional Jiu Jitsu techniques adapted to make up for the lack of a uniform to grab. Students will learn how to take down, hold positions and apply joint locks to submit opponents who are not wearing a Gi.
Class consists of warm-ups, technics, drilling and rolling (live training). This class is an excellent way to transition your Jiu Jitsu techniques into self-defense. Students must wear shorts and a rash guard (or a t-shirt) to attend this class.
We not only focus on techniques in the advanced classes, but once you have learned the key components in the fundamentals classes, we dive into a deeper understanding of key concepts and transitional ideas as we are ever evolving in the art.
This class will help you improve your competition game with advanced techniques. The use of a Gi is mandatory in this class.

"I joined Gravity not knowing much of Brazilian jujitsu, and in rather weak physical condition. Through attending circuit training classes and regular bjj classes, my physical fitness, reflexes and stamina have all increased significantly. Every week has a theme and general area to work upon. Every week attended is a week in which new techniques are learnt or previously known ones improved and given variations."
"My family trains at gravity bjj and we all love the way the instructors handles the classes at all ages. Both of my kids love the gym and I like the way I see them progress with their skills day by day in their life. I highly recommend this gym to everybody. Everybody in the gym shares and learn together with skills and technique from talented instructors. I enjoy training here and my family loves it. We are all having fun. Life is good here."
"I’ve had the pleasure of being a student of Logan for a year now and can say with full assurance that you’ll be hard pressed to find an instructor as excellent as him. Logan is not only an incredibly knowledgeable, supportive and proficient instructor but he possesses a keen ability to discern and work upon individual differences by highlighting strengths and tailoring ones skill set accordingly. He has always been very motivating and continually inspires me to keep training smarter and harder. But what is really admirable to witness is his dedication and commitment to all his students."
